crusta craft cocktails

the crusta has a unique knack for customizing beverage menus to fit any type of event, so much so it could tailor completely new and novel creations that can take you to a different place and time. escapsim, or what we like to call “adventure mixology” is already prevalent. it is quite the sensation to go to a tiki bar in the middle of winter and feel as if you’re on a tropical island when you take the first sip of your mai tai. in this spirit, the crusta seeks to use a world of beautiful flavors to make your feel like you’ve reached far beyond where you are - somewhere far into the past, the present or even the future.

high baller

this form of beverage service simply includes base spirits and mixers, namely juices and sodas. if you put a little lime in a rum & coke, bam - it's already a cocktail called the cuba libre. besides the most well-known mixers, there is so much you can create with this approach. favorite recommendations of ours include apricot juice with tequila, cucumber juice with gin & tonic, select italian sodas with vodka, and ginger beer with jamaican rum.

crushables

here is where we amp up the creativity and create refreshing concoctions, pairing fresh herbs and spices with fruit and at least one spirit. they can include daiquiri's, margaritas, gin gimlets and brandy sidecars. of course, we love to riff off of these to create something new and exciting for you and your guests. we'll leave you with two examples. The first is the old cuban- a rich dark barrel aged rum, mint, sugar and a good sparkling lime with a touch of fresh lime. The second is a personal favorite, a refreshing rhubarb margarita- blanco tequila, fresh lime, fresh rhubarb, botanical citrus syrup and just a dash of mezcal for a bright minerality.

classics

as the name describes, classic cocktails (and their beloved riffs) are included in this beverage direction. with this format in particular, we take special precaution to ensure that the premium liquors, digestives, bitters and wines that are mixed make for a very balanced flavor profile with depth and complexity, but are still completely approachable. we may make a manhattan with an unknown mix of aromatized wines, a negroni that has a gentler and way more tempered bitterness,  or a french 75 that has few dashes of fresh parsley.

specialty

having a specialty cocktail or beverage menu primarily refers to using ingredients that are much more premium. this can look like using top shelf liquor. however, it is also not limited to using higher quality spirits- it also applies to special cocktail features and a higher level of creativity in drink design. this would be a great choice if you are looking to have elaborate, thematic cocktails for your event. for instance, color changing and fluorescent cocktails for a chemistry theme, dry ice and detailed ghoulish garnishes for a party in october, or using fire for something more festive like a holiday, birthday, or graduation. the possibilities really are endless.
